First 90 Days Checklist
The first 90 days in Korea involve several key administrative steps to set up your life.

- Register address at local Gu Office (구청) — required for ARC and mail
- Open Korean bank account with ARC: KEB Hana or Woori foreigner banking centers
- Get Korean phone plan (contract, not tourist SIM) once ARC in hand
- Enroll in NHIS — mandatory at 6 months; voluntary from day 1 on F-1-D visa
- Exchange foreign driver's license at local District Office if eligible
- Download Kakao Maps (better than Google Maps in Korea) and Papago translation
