International Schools
Bangkok and major Thai cities have a well-established international school sector offering British, American, IB, and bilingual curriculum standards. Quality at the top tier is genuinely world-class.
- Top Bangkok schools (2025-26 fees): ISB — American curriculum, $18,500–$33,600/yr (Pre-K to High). NIST — IB curriculum, $17,900–$25,900/yr. Bangkok Patana — British, $13,000–$23,200/yr. Shrewsbury — British, $15,000–$24,000/yr. One-time registration fees: ISB ฿260,000, Patana ฿200,000.

- Phuket international schools: British International School Phuket (BISP), HeadStart International School, QSI International School of Phuket
- Application process: Most Bangkok top-tier schools have waiting lists — apply 6–12 months before your intended start date. Entrance assessments are standard for grade 4+
- Fees cover: Tuition and most school materials. Many schools charge separate registration fees (฿50,000–฿200,000 one-time) and activity fees
- Employer contributions: Many multinational employers offer education allowances (฿200,000–฿500,000/yr per child) as part of expat compensation packages. Negotiate this before accepting a position
