In Baghdad, socializing centers on embassy events, compound gatherings, and international organization networks. Iraqis themselves are incredibly social — expect to be invited to homes, meals, and celebrations.

Fitness culture is growing in Iraqi cities, with modern gyms and sports facilities increasingly available. The Kurdistan mountains offer incredible outdoor recreation. However, the extreme summer heat limits outdoor activities for 4–5 months of the year.
