How we research, write, and verify everything published on ExpatLife.AI.
The short version
ExpatLife.AI is an independent expat-intelligence site. Every guide you read here is researched with AI assistance (primarily Claude from Anthropic), then reviewed, edited, fact-checked, and signed off by a human editor before publication. We disclose AI assistance on every article — not because we're required to, but because trust is the only thing that matters in this category.
Our editorial process
1. Research
We start from primary sources: government immigration sites, tax authorities, central-bank exchange rates, and our own country dataset. AI helps us synthesize and structure, not invent.
2. Draft
AI produces a first draft using verified inputs. Every claim that involves a number, a date, or a legal rule is flagged for editor verification before it can ship.
3. Human review
The editor reads every article end-to-end, removes AI hedging, replaces generic claims with specifics, and signs off only when the article would be useful to someone actually moving.
What we never do
- We never publish fabricated bylines or fake author personas. Every ExpatLife.AI article is published under our editorial team and signed off by a real, named human reviewer.
- We never publish AI-generated articles unread. If we don't have time to review it, it doesn't ship.
- We never accept payment for placement in country guides, visa guides, or rankings. Sponsored content, if and when we run it, will be labeled in the title and the URL.
- We never invent statistics. Every number cited has a primary source we can point to on request.
Corrections
We get things wrong. Visa rules change weekly, exchange rates move hourly, and we make mistakes in interpretation too. If you spot something wrong, email [email protected] with the URL and the issue. We acknowledge corrections in the article and date them.

A note on our earlier work
Older articles on ExpatLife.AI were published under several different author names that did not represent real individual writers. In May 2026 we consolidated all bylines under the ExpatLife Editorial Team and named Kayal D. as the responsible editor for every article going forward. We are progressively rewriting or retiring older articles to bring them up to this standard.
